Since 2005, Principal Emma Weir has taught dance classes for the Bishopsgate Institute in the City of London. In the past year the Institute building has undergone major improvement work and during that time Emma has operated alternative classes at other city venues whilst the Institute was out of action.
Classes have now returned to the Institute and details of the courses Emma runs in Street Jazz, Ballroom and Rock & Roll / Jive are available from the Bishopsgate Institute website www.bishopsgate.org.uk where prospective participants can also book directly. Emma is also still offering private lessons to those not catered for by the Institute, please contact info@emmasacademy.co.uk for details. Anyone interested in a continuation practise class for Ballroom / Latin improvers should also contact Emma to register their interest as she is hoping to set this up in conjunction with Bishopsgate on Thursday evenings from September. |

Adults who would like to become dance teachers can train for their professional IDTA qualifications with us. This now includes IDTA Licentiate Freestyle. Emma is a Fellow of the Association and has trained a number of professionals, all achieving the highest grade and with several being nominated for awards and scholarships.
